Don’t LIKE NEEDLES? NO PROBLEM.

I was one of the first acupuncturists to offer needle-free “acupuncture.” Decades ago when I lived in Northern California, I had the honor of studying with Dr. Yu, founder of Koryo Hand Therapy. Koryo Hand Therapy originated in Korea. The theory behind it is that the hand is a remote control for the body (as is the ear and foot). By applying tiny silver pellets to certain areas of the hand, pain is lessened or disappears, depending upon whether it’s an acute or chronic condition.

Around the same time I studied Colorpuncture which uses a color pen to stimulate certain points and areas on the body. This system was developed years ago by German acupuncturist Peter Mendel. I was certified in this modality 25 years ago.

I have studied auriculotherapy which uses the ear to diagnose and treat symptoms.

Having studied Reiki, Mari-el, Omega, Therapeutic Touch and many other healing systems, as well as Donna Eden’s Energy Medicine seminars, I am well equipped to help people without inserting needles, although I must say, when you see an acupuncture needle, it’s hair thin, nothing like the ones you get poked with in the arm by a friendly nurse. Most people only feel great when needles are used and they look forward to their sessions. Sometimes I use a combination of modalities. Every person is unique. Not one recipe applies to all. But if even the word “needles” gets your dander up, have no fear.

Finding the right acupuncturist is not always easy. I know I have tried quite a few practitoners myself. I’m picky and you should be too.
