I hear many people say, Oh, I tried acupuncture and it didn’t work. I can’t tell you how many acupuncturists I went to before I found the one with whom I resonated.

In Classical Acupuncture, I work with the Five Elements. Every person has one element unique to them– either wood, fire, earth, metal or water. I determine the element by careful listening to the sound of their voice, the color on their face, their odor, the emotion they emit as well as listening to the pulses. I take myself out of the picture and focus solely on the needs of the patient. I was trained to meet a person where they are, not where I am.

If a person is fortunate to find an acupuncturist trained in five elements, chances are they will be able to feel at a deep level the difference between a mechanical approach and one that takes into consideration the needs of that person at the most profound level.
